As I wade through my first experience with nursing, I’m realizing how shy & self-conscious I am. I came across these great nursing tops by Momzelle, that offer great style while allowing you to nurse discreetly.

Momzelle was founded by Christine Poirier & her brother Vincent after Christine gave birth to her daughter. She wanted to feel comfortable nursing in public so she whipped up her own top and soon all of her friends wanted them. After trying out a Momzelle nursing top, I can’t say I blame them! I have the Warm V-neck long sleeve shirt and I love it. It’s very cozy and has a torso that’s a bit longer which is something I always look for in a shirt even when I’m not pregnant. It’s fitted but not too tight so it’s actually very flattering to your post-partum shape. As eager as I was to get back into my old t-shirts, there are still some that look a little iffy on me just yet. Know what I mean?

Momzelle nursing tops are made in Canada (awesome) and the black fabric is 100% organic (double awesome). They offer a wide variety of tops as well as a hoody, a dress & capri pants. The best part being, they look like normal clothes! I usually only wear simple, streamlined clothes and I am so so in love with these. It’s so easy to nurse Clementine when I am wearing this top and I don’t feel silly doing it. To see a demo of how they work, go here. If you’re in the market for nursing tops, I would definitely urge you to splurge on these.

Okay, I heart these clothes. So so much. Never being a very girly girl myself, I never really dress V like a girly girl either. My mom was practically begging me to put a dress on V by the time she was 6 months old. So I admit, I was skeptical of this chemise when it arrived but once it was on V I absolutely fell in love with it. I *love* the colors; Happy Green Bee has nothing but stripes and they pick the best color combinations! I also can’t tell you how happy it makes me to own a shirt for V that was made for a girl and doesn’t have those god awful puffy cap sleeves. It’s the perfect amount of girl without going overboard. I’m pretty sure that these are the perfect clothes for kids & babies, and they are organic. Love it.

Happy Green Bee was started by Roxanne Quimby, who not only sports a kickass name but she is a very interesting lady! Roxanne wanted to create gender-free and cheerful clothing for kids while promoting awareness about the benefits of organic cotton. Happy Green Bee’s philosophy is to create clothing that is comfortable, colorful, playful and ecologically responsible and they have totally lived up to that.

Happy Green Bee is not only having a huge inventory reduction sale through November 15th, they have a Factory Store too! I swear, if I were working right now, both girls would own a ton of these clothes. They have also very kindly offered to do a giveaway with us, so go visit Happy Green Bee & look around. Come back and leave a comment as to what your favorite item is and you will be entered to win your choice of either the chemise or cardigan in radish and bean. Tweet @littlewhirl about this giveaway & I’ll give you an extra entry! I will draw a winner on Nov 30th and you’ll see what all the buzz is about (bah dum dum CRASH

I owe Ingrid & Isabel a huge Thank You. Not only did they save my life while I was pregnant, they are still doing it.

Ingrid Carney is the creator of the Bella Band, an absolute must-have if you ask me. Made of super soft nylon & spandex, the Bella Band comes in an array of colors and is also offered in organic cotton. The Bella Band offers many levels of support throughout your entire pregnancy. From hiding that unsnapped top button on your pre-preg jeans to holding up your maternity jeans post-preg, it is the great helping hand of awkward clothing. It can even allow you to sneak some non-maternity shirts into your pregnancy wardrobe (Thank God, what is up with all those shirt strings, why?).

Ingrid & Isabel have now expanded their line to include an ‘Essentials Collection’ of which I was lucky enough to try the belly leggings from. I’m in love. Now, usually I’m not a leggings person unless it’s snowing out & I need the extra warmth but these babies have offered me great support in the last week or so. I practically lived in them the last few days of my pregnancy and they were the most comfortable post-partum item I had in my hospital bag. Most of you know how, um, vulnerable your belly feels after giving birth & these leggings totally do the trick so that I feel a little more ‘put together’ so to speak. Ingrid & Isabel also offers an Everywear Pant, Ruched Tank & and Everyday Cami. I’m sure I’ll be using my Bella Band & Belly Leggings all winter long as I get ready for swimsuit season again!
